–     Every once in awhile Citrus Lane offers Mystery Boxes.  Last month I purchased a Mystery Box for my four-year-old daughter B and she loved it!  You can read my April 3-4 Girls Mystery Box HERE or my April Boys Subscription Box HERE.  Her brother receives Citrus Lane boxes every month; I purchase a year subscription for his birthday and sometimes I feel bad because she does not get cool toys each month.   No worries, she gets plenty of other boxes, but this is still a nice surprise.  Also, Citrus Lane often doubles up on items in Mystery Boxes (in this case we received two doubles) and when they do I have one of each for both kids.  They typically offer $19 dollar and $29 Mystery Boxes.  I am reviewing their $29 dollar box which promises over $60 worth of goodies for your little one.

–    I have yet to have a problem with any Citrus Lane box.  The package always comes in great condition.

Item one:  Hohner, Inc. Marcas (Retail $9.00)

–     I was excited to see these adorable cherry red maracas because my son had received a blue pair in a past box.  These maracas are slightly larger and have a cute flower stamped on each handle.  I could not find an exact price so I used the smaller maracas price.  These are BPA free and have passed a CISPA/ATSM Toy Safety Standard inspection.

Item Two:  Janad Exotic Animals Dominoes ($21.82 Amazon Retail)

–     I swear in my family we start playing dominoes right out of the womb.  My father loves to come play with the family.  Now the little ones have their own durable set and I could not be more pleased.  I also really appreciate that the box has a magnetic top to store all of the pieces.  I love when subscriptions help me keep everything organized.

Items Three, Four and Five :  Three Crocodile Creek Two Sided 24 Piece Puzzles ($21.00)

–     Crocodile Creek Two Sided Puzzles are very small for little hands.  These are really cute and my daughter was excited to put these together.  Citrus Lane sends out quite a few puzzles.  My only complaint is that these get all over the place at times.  My son is 2 and puzzles can lead to big disaster.  I do love watching my daughter figure these type of puzzles out.

Item Six:  Faber Castle Pet Pals  (Retail $5.50)

–     I love when I receive items that I can take for road trips or use in our rainy day box; we are having several right now.  Pet Pals has 20 pages of original illustrations printed on art paper. The perforated pages are printed on one side so that work can be removed and displayed. The pages include a mix of coloring pages and activities plus a “Tips and Techniques” page.  I know B will love this, especially since it has two of her favorite items- markers and animals.

Item Seven:  I Could Be, You Could Be by Karen Owen and Barroux ($4.00)

–     I could not find this book anywhere except images, so I had to estimate the price.  This book takes a young boy and girl on an adventure where they can imagine what they could be, an astronaut or maybe even a dragon.

Item Eight: Ooh La Leggies ($6.00)

–    These are adorable and yet I am not sure how to feel about them.  They remind me of ladies garters.  I like my daughter to look her age, not too mature or revealing.  These leggings fit sizes 6 months to 6 years.  We may use them as leg warmers for dance class.

Item Nine:  Green Toys Stock Pot & Utensils  ($12.00)

–     Citrus Lane always gives you one sneak peak into your Mystery Box before purchase and this Stock Pot & Utensils by Green toys was our spoiler.  I was torn at first because we already have a Red Pot & Utensils but then I realized this was a great way to get two so the kids do not fight.  I love that this one is girlie pink.  Green Toys are designed for children ages 2 and up, the Stock Pot & Utensils is made from recycled milk jugs, is FDA approved to use with real food, and does not contain BPA, phthalates, or lead paint. The set is colorful and durable, and is ideal for both indoor and outdoor play. I love that it is made in the USA from food-safe, 100% recycled milk jugs. I could not get an exact price since it comes with another pan on the Citrus Lane site for $17, so I just subtracted some and estimated.

Bonus Item (pictured above) Sour Beans Sample ($1.25)

–     My little ones will not eat these but I love them!  They are all natural, organic, vegan, gluten free and so much more.  They are pricey to purchase so I am always happy to get some in a subscription.

Value:  Ten items! Overall I am very happy with this purchase.  We received close to $80.00 worth of merchandise and will use everything in the box.  Citrus Lane really makes an excellent gift and I highly recommend their items.  I particularly love how they sell recycled items and promote US goods.

What do you think?  Will you subscribe to Citrus Lane?
